Êîíòàêòîðû 3RT14 ïðåäíàçíà÷åíû äëÿ êîììóòàöèè ÷èñòî àêòèâíîé íàãðóçêè (AC-1) èëè êàê êîíòàêòîðû, íàïðèìåð, äëÿ óñòðîéñòâ, ðåãóëèðóþùèõ ñêîðîñòü, êîòîðûå íîðìàëüíî òîëüêî ïðîâîäÿò ýëåêòðè÷åñêèé òîê.  Äîïóñêàåòñÿ îòêëþ÷åíèå òîêîâ áîëüøåé âåëè÷èíû - äî  8-ìè êðàòíûõ  Ie/AC-3, íàïðèìåð äëÿ ÀÂÀÐÈÉÍÎÉ ÎÑÒÀÍÎÂÊÈ.
