IP 252MC и IP 32MC - Управление и регулирование

IP 252MC и IP 32MC - Управление и регулирование

Область применения

The IP 252MC/IP32MC modules are high-performance modules for complex synchronization and positioning tasks especially for the electric servo drives with analog setpoint interface. It is likewise possible to employ hydraulic actuators with certain restrictions. The IP32MC is a further development of the time-proven IP 252MC and is particularly powerful.

Typical application fields include highly-dynamic synchronization and positioning controls, with particularly demanding movements and a high number of axes (IP32MC) with which, in particular, master-slave behavior of the drive axes is called for - these include:

  • Electronic gearboxes and shafts (replacement of mechanical line shafts)
  • Electronic cam disks
  • On-the-fly cut point positioning (rotating blades, diagonal saws, etc.)
  • Print mark synchronization

The modules can be used in the SIMATIC S5-115U, S5-135U, S5-155U and S7-400 automation systems. A distributed compact station with PROFIBUS DP slave interface is available for the IP32MC module for the setup of a distributed structure.

Дизайн

The modules can be plugged into the following items of equipment:

  • SIMATIC S5-135U and S5-155U
  • SIMATIC S5-115U with adapter capsule
  • SIMATIC S7-400 with adapter capsule
  • Distributed compact station as a PROFIBUS DP slave (for IP32MC only)

The modules are of the double-width type in double-height Euro format. The standard design is equipped with the following I/O modules:

  • 1 analog output module for actuating signal output
  • 1 digital I/O module
  • 1 (2) position encoder modules for the connection of incremental or absolute value encoders

The modules are available in the following designs:

IP 252MC:
4-axis module with 6 ms controller sampling time.

IP32MC/4:
4-axis module with 1 ms (standard) controller sampling time. The sampling time can be parameterized within the 0.4 ms ... 2.5 ms range.

IP32MC/8:
8-axis module with 2 ms (standard) controller sampling time. The sampling time can be parameterized within the 0.8 ms ... 5.0 ms range.

Функции

The modules are provided with an extensive range of functions which are selected, activated and influenced by the PLC via structure and operating mode switches. All important parameters can be changed online via the PLC. The link between the PLC and the IP 252MC or IP32MC is made via a dual port RAM interface with the aid of the S5/S7 handling blocks. The IP32MC is also equipped with a direct interface for fast control of all axes present.

A microprocessor arranged on the modules ensures precision of the control functions.

The axes are controlled via an analog 10 V interface with high resolution. All actual axis values are acquired with a 5 V TTL incremental encoder or with an SSI absolute value encoder. Fast responses can be achieved via the digital inputs/outputs (e.g. print mark controls and cam controllers).

The modules allow control of a master axis and up to 3 or 7 slave axes.

For the setting up of multiple axis systems with more than 7 slave axes it is possible to link several IP32MC modules via a local high-speed optical fiber bus and to synchronize them (available on request).

The master axis can be controlled, started or stopped by the IP 252MC/IP32MC itself (internal master), from an external master or simulated by a virtual master.

  • Internal master
The master axis is controlled by the IP 252MC/IP32MC itself. Control takes place via the PLC interface of the SIMATIC system.
  • External master
The master axis is controlled by external electronics. The IP 252MC/IP32MC senses the actual values of the external master via an encoder and feeds them as master values to the slave axes.
  • Virtual master
No real master axis is present. The IP 252MC/IP32MC calculates the master value for the slave axis from the given master setpoint values.

The following functions are available as standard:

  • Positioning mode (single block mode)
  • Pulse encoder mode (speed control)
  • Synchronous mode with the following subfunctions
    • Electronic clutch (intermittent/periodic mode)
    • Electronic gearbox with variable transmission ratio
    • Electronic cam disk
    • Electronic synchronization (e.g. via print marks)
  • 4 (8 with IP32MC) cam controllers
  • With the IP32MC, auxiliary functions are available for the I/O channels (status/control) for test and startup purposes
  • Technology function “flying saw” as diagonal saw or coupled (planned with IP32MC)
  • Technology function “rotating blade” (planned with IP32MC)

All axes can also be operated independently (without a synchronous interconnection). Hence the IP32MC is also predestined for positioning tasks where high numbers of axes are involved.

Special functions (only with IP32MC)

In addition to the IP32MC standard functions, it is also possible on inquiry to integrate customer-specific additional functions and special functions into the IP32MC firmware. In this manner it is possible to integrate customer-specific know-how and to implement customer-specific modules. The software can be effectively protected by means of a coding (know-how protection).

Software packages

For the IP 252MC/IP32MC, function block packages with example programs for SIMATIC S5 and S7 are available. These packages contain blocks for all important functions (startup parameterization, PLC communication, fast direct coupling, parameterization of cam controllers and traversing tables) as well as a complete application example on diskette, so that the user need only concern himself with his own process-related tasks.

With the SIMATIC S7 variant of the IP 252MC/IP32MC, the necessary S7 handling blocks are included in the scope of supply. In the case of the S5-135U/155U the handling blocks must be ordered separately.
